Rose to open for McDermott April
17
Laura Garrison
Arts & Entertainment Editor
Al Rose will be opening for Michael
McDermott when he performs at Harper on April 17. Rose has a unique musical
style which comes across even better live.
"(Songwriting is) an organic process,
and anything is worthy of being tried," explained Rose. His anything goes approach
has attracted a considerable amount of attention on local radio stations WXRT
and WCBR, as well as with local music critics.
Rose is a dynamic live performer.
His live shows range from being by himself with his guitar to having his band
(The Transcendos) along. His show at Harper will probably consist of himself
and perhaps his female background singer.
He will have a new album forthcoming
in a couple of months.
"Information
Overload" is available now in local record stores.
