The title
track of this budget EP was recorded live on WGN Radio in the Spring of 1994.
The song, detailing a relationship with a slowly dying friend, became a heavy
request item. It was written and performed by Ralph Covert, leader of Chicago's
top pop-rock band, The Bad Examples. Steve
Gerlach, The Bad Examples' former lead guitarist, accompanies Covert.
The net profits from the wholesale price will benefit the Leukemia Research
Foundation. In addition to "Adam McCarthy" there is a previously unreleased acoustic
band version of the Bad Examples favorite, "Promises In The Dark," recorded live
for Dutch Radio VARA on their 1992 European tour. The original version is on the
Bad Is Beautiful album. Two tracks from Covert's solo
project, Eat At Godot's, both of which received album
radio play, are included. .
