Eric Lugosch is a singer,
songwriter and award-winning acoustic guitarist. He has headlined
at fingerstyle festivals and opened for such major artists as Vassar
Clements, Doc Watson and Leon Redbone. Making Models, his compact
disc debut, is a collection of songs and instrumentals. Lyrically
his work ranges from romantic to wry. His mastery of fingerstyle guitar
skill is evident on every cut, but the original instrumentals showcase
both his technique and compositional qualities. There are new solo
guitar arrangements of the traditional fiddle tune "Colored Aristocracy"
(performed as a rhumba), the gospel "There's A Destruction," and Pete
Seeger's "Living In The Country."
This also marks the disc debut of Lugosch's own "Stars Up Above,"
previously recorded by guitarist Joe Miller. Fellow musicians on the
album include Green Linnet accordionist John Williams, vocalist Elaine
Moore and Lana Wordell on steel drums and vocals.
