Cover to Spelunkers' "Demand Your Annual Rent"Spelunkers - Demand Your Annual Rent

Spelunkers is a trio from Bloomington, Illinois, whose music twists and turns from the underground to outer space powered by the guitar, songwriting and voice of Tommy O'Donnell. Joined by bassist/vocalist Clay Thompson and drummer John Ganser, this fun and stunning band returns with their second album, Demand Your Annual Rent. Their debut, Breakfast Is America garnered considerable airplay and rave reviews.

This album features thirteen original songs. The title track, in a different version, was previously featured on the Whitehouse Records compilation, Come In 773! The cover art is by noted comic book artist Tim Bradstreet. Fans of Bradstreet's published work who know Spelunkers may have already noticed visual similarities between some of his characters and the band members.

Spelunkers was originally an instrumental side-project of the legendary Something Brothers, a major Midwestern touring sextet in the late '80s and early '90s who never recorded. The 'lunkers continue the tradition of being a great road band playing all over Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, Indiana and Iowa as headliners or opening for such acts as Bottle Rockets, Wilco and Smoking Popes.
