In 1997 we at Whitehouse Records experienced the change of our area code (which was always and forever 312) to the confusing 773. What better time, we mused, to release a new album sampler of some of our favorite musicians, and laugh in the face of the chaos! Ha ha!

With "Come In 773!" Whitehouse Records has added to the plethora of compilations and samplers that seek to connect music to its imagined audience. These are artists that have recorded for us, will record more music with us, and some we just like. Most of these bands live and play in 773, and some such as Spelunkers, make frequent visits.

Showcase Music Magazine raved that 773! is "overflowing with some of the most creative, talented, and innovative bands ever to grace the Chicago music scene....it proves that Chicago, like Seattle or the Bay Area, can also be the birth grounds for trendsetting music that can turn the industry head over heels."

Listen to what all the fuss is about.
