James Young is the lead guitarist of Styx. Styx, called by Rolling Stone "the Pearl Jam of the 70's," earned top 5 singles and gold and platinum albums in the 70's, 80's and 90's. In between Styx albums JY has assembled a group of great musicians to play live and cut this stunning, diverse and hard rockin' record. Lead vocals are alternately handled by JY, guitarist Michael Baran, keyboardist Lou DePasqua, and bassist Hank Horton. The group is anchored by vet drummer Ken Harck (best known for Off Broadway).

Writing contributors include all band members, Styx-mate Glen Burtnick, Enuff Z'Nuff's Donnie Vie and Chip Z'Nuff, and Kit Hain. While JY is best known for his rockers, the album also includes production showcases, power pop, gorgeous ballads and the epic "City Of Holy Faith." Fans of both his previous solo work, as well as Styx fans, will welcome this release.

This is the second solo album from James "JY" Young, founding member, lead guitarist and featured vocalist from the multi-platinum Chicago band Styx. There are eight straight-ahead hard-rockin' originals plus a new version of Styx's "Young Man." Guest musicians include Utopia's Willie Wilcox, Jerry Goodman from The Flock and Mahavishnu Orchestra, and fellow Styxman John Panozzo. This Absolute Records release, first issued in Germany, is now available through Whitehouse.

This is a re-issue of the 1985 collaboration between Styx guitarist/vocalist James "JY" Young and former Mahavishnu keyboard master Jan Hammer. This hard-rockin' record was the first solo outing for JY. Originally distributed by Passport in the U.S., it was out-of-print for years. This Absolute Records release is now available on compact disc and cassette from Whitehouse Records. The cover art duplicates the original issue.
