Ralph's World
Happy Lemons

Released: Sept. 10, 2002.

[Offering] a rousing brand of kids' music that intelligently entertains rather than preaching...Ralph Covert has done it again with an engaging and fun disc that makes being a kid -- and having one -- reason to smile.

It's no wonder that with just 2 releases in the last couple of years, Ralph's World has become one of the most recognized and best-selling independent children's acts in America. Through Ralph's World, and At the Bottom of the Sea, and extensive touring from coast-to-coast, Ralph's World has brought children and parents together to a place where they can enjoy music as a genuinely shared appreciation.

Now, just as the weather brings the kids back inside and parents are scrambling for quality family entertainment that engages rather than numbs, and just in time for the holidays, Ralph's World presents its third disc, Happy Lemons, a collection of brand new songs. From the bubbly title track written by Ralph and his young daughter, Fiona, to the traditional classic ‘Pony Boy’ as arranged by Bruce Springsteen, and with a potpourri of reggae beats, jazz rhythms, floating flutes and spinning dogs thrown in for good measure, the twisting, rollicking, sing-a-long musical journey that is Ralph’s World continues on Happy Lemons.

As always, Ralph is joined by some special friends and guests, including renowned blues artist Corky Siegel, rock drummer Matt Walker and many more. Put on your best cut-offs and favorite T-shirt, ‘Ralph’s World’ Happy Lemons is here! (--Drew Waller, Borders Bookstores)

"I wanted to make a lemonade stand, and I asked my dad if we could and he said we could. We found a big box from packing, and we got yellow paint. I painted it myself, but then I got paint in my hair, and it didn't come out for 3 weeks. We made a door in the back with a real doorknob. We named it The Happy Lemon. We thought of making a song for it, so we did. We hope you like singing with our song!" - Fiona
