The Rhyming Circus
was the first all-new studio recording by Ralph's World
released by Disney Sound
! There are a dozen fabulous new songs written by Ralph Covert
and a new perspective on an old Johnny Cash tune. From Beatle-esque rockers to swing to country to new wave pop, The Rhyming Circus
is just like going to the Midway with a tantalizing attraction every few steps- and in Ralph's World you won't feel like you've had too many sweets- but just enough to give you that splendid energy rush! And the album ends with the relaxing "Watch The World Go By."
You'll also be able to see the music video of the title cut and read the lyrics when you plunk the disc into your CD-ROM drive and have internet access.
This is a 2008 Parents' Choice Gold Award Winner!
From the liner notes:
Imagine it is an ordinary day, and you are playing in your backyard. You hear music in the distance, and unusual smells waft in on the breeze – popcorn? Straw? Feeling curious, you walk to the back edge of your yard. To your surprise you see a straw-covered path that leads to a tall red and yellow circus tent. There are jugglers, and men with tall hats selling cotton candy and peanuts! Someone presses a ticket into your hand, and you walk forward into the tent. The sounds! The colors! You see a man in a polka dot shirt, and off to the side you can see an elephant practicing his tap dancing! A pig in cowboy boots and a yellow sombrero walks by… then you see a rat juggling gnats with some cats. Just as you realize where you are, the Master of Ceremonies appears in the center ring and announces:
Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to The Rhyming Circus! Let the show
